Major Moscow's Strikes Eliminate Electricity Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities targeted in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were wounded while inhabitants in the city's east were experienced blackouts and dealt with problems to water systems, as stated by city officials.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was killed in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to local officials.

Moscow has intensified assaults on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "real steps" from international partners to increase pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the US, the EU and the Group of Seven - in delivering air defence systems and enforcing restrictions," was stated in a online statement.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 projectiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Russia was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were working to repair systems.

A series of attacks damaged energy infrastructure and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Multiple people hurt in the strikes on the city have been transported for medical care, per statements from local officials.

Area administrators said the urban area came under significant strikes throughout the evening. A minor died and multiple civilians were hurt.

The strikes come after nights of air raids in the territory, parts of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are tougher to identify.

Authorities told journalists that Moscow was purposely seeking to destroy the country's energy grid, with strikes already impacting gas facilities.

He said energy workers and authorities were bracing for more assaults.
