The buzz surrounding the recent awards show was significant, particularly after host Geoff Keighley posted a mysterious photo of a strange statue. The question has now been solved. Larian Studios is developing a completely new Divinity game.
Titled simply Divinity, the game was presented with a audacious trailer that included memorable imagery, from a burning man to an orgy and the literal opening of infernal gates.
A Different Direction
For those hoping for Divinity Original Sin 3, prepare for a surprise. The studio stated ahead of time that a follow-up to its beloved RPGs is not currently in development.
That said, the developer described this new Divinity as a evolution of the core franchise. This phrasing implies that the team is likely building a faster-paced experience as opposed to another turn-based title. At this moment, this is speculation, as only a teaser video is available.
